Um wtf? You know EDs exist and other situations can make it hard for a person to gain or loose weight? (I know this is a 3 year old video but i really hope you don't agree with the whole weight view in the video).

I want to know how many people who aren't fat/overweight have their fursona(or fursonas) who are fat especially ladies because they get fat shammed all the time, so what do do they think about having fat body IRL vs fat fursona?

Logistically tho I understand stuffing is probably a lot more insulating than body fat so you will get hotter in a big fursuit with an average body than with a bigger body

Honestly, it’s like that thing on the American version of the office, “Michael Klump”, the character Micheal in the show does at parts; it’s a mockery of people with larger build that blows things out of proportion to a point where it’s like; are you saying morbid obesity is bad, (yes it is) or straight up mocking anyone with an endomorphic body type for being unable to change the fact that they naturally have more fat on their body than you? And further playing into the danger zone of insinuating things like that people can “just lose weight”, or the like. Appropriation is a dangerous game, I’m saying, and people should be aware of the kinds of messages they insinuate in some actions, because neurotypicals of a white, scrawny disposition especially are often blissfully unaware of the gravitas of certain appropriations. TLDR; one must be aware of which way one punches, up or down, and what one may insinuate in being an upper pretending to be a down. I say this as a not white endomorph who struggled with self consciousness about my build for YEARS growing up. I merely wish not for people to act like build or privilege is just something one can just throw off or acquire at the drop of a hat. And lastly, “thin shaming” in my experience smacks of white people or straight people complaining that they’re the ones who are burdened; vicitmisation. The oppressor playing the victim. Just my experience, but know what one insinuates in one’s words, and how that can invalidate others, in the same way a neurotypical saying “eVerYoNe iS a bIT aUtiStIc” is a vile and scummy thing that invalidates the struggles of autists. TLDR; unless you’re of a certain demographic, you don’t get to make the judgement call on what others can appropriate from that demographic.

i don’t get it. i was once a furry and then i left and kinda rejoined “normal” circles. from my totally out of the loop view, i don’t see it as any different than playing a game where you customize your character. I’m not a 6’4 black guy with tactical gear and NODS on, but I wanna be in a game, so i am. this bullshit gate keeping is crazy

I disagree again. If you’re a small person and you want a thick character make a thick character, being a furry is all about self expression. This person is limiting that expression with their point of view. But to each their own, if this person thinks that bigger people should have big characters and smaller people should have smaller characters that’s their opinion.

Why do people care so much about this? I mean, my opinion is different but I don’t think it really matters. I’m pretty sure it would look the same no matter who is in the fur suit.

Wow, like what about people with any sort of health issues going both ways? Some people have health issues that can make them easily gain or lose weight or make them struggle to gain or lose! Like I'm a bit underweight due to having digestion problems. I just can't eat as much as I should or if I try to eat more than I can, I get some bad stomachaches/indigestion! And fursonas are characters! Who cares what the person in the suit is shaped like?

You can make your fursona anything that you want them to be, plot twist but generic colourful wolf number 729 isn't actually a wolf IRL. They're meant to be a character or an expression of yourself. 3. You can make your fursona anything that you want them to be, a rainbow bat with a million piercings, a black and white tiger with bright blue hair, there is literally a million possibilities to customize your fursona and to make them true to you.

Update (6/13/2024) I took my time and read the entire Manga and it was freaking awesome, I highly recommend it and also I just saw the trailer of Season 3 of the Beastars hopefully Season 3 will be epic (hopefully)
